Play Darts At Home With An Electronic Dart Board

Everyone wants a fun cheap way to have fun. Card and Board games are nice, but as you get older, you usually want something a little more exciting. Unless you visit the bar or another local club every night, you might feel it is impossible to find the sort of entertainment that interests you. There is an alternative that can serve you purpose while you are alone or while you are having friends over. If you invest in an Electronic Dart Board, you will spend day after day or night after night enjoying it. This takes less set up than a board game and can fit in the smallest of apartments if necessary. Storing one is as simple as securing the darts.

It doesn't take long to set up an Electronic Dart Board and requires little more than a wall plug. You can hang it up in any room where you or your friends gather and waste the night away competing against each other. Who will be the winner? Keeping track of the score is easy when you own an Electronic Dart Board. Some boards experience more bounce off than other boards and if that is the case, it is recommended that you use hard tips. Sometimes the original darts that you come with the board are not of the best quality; you might consider buying your own set of better quality. Boards and darts come in competitive quality, recreational quality, and kid quality.

You can purchase a fairly simple Electronic Dart Board encased in it's own wood cabinet for about $150. Inside the cabinet, the board can be closed in for easy storage along with the darts. Most boards also come with a variety of games and each with different variations to keep things interesting. The Halex Cricket5000 Electronic Dart Board is one of the best known boards for casual players. Most people who purchase this board would recommend it to others, giving it a score of four to five stars. There are cheaper and more expensive dart boards than this one and the price you pay will depend on the type of player you consider yourself.

I looked at the advice given on the site about finding the best darts for use on an electronic board. I play every Friday night at an Irish pub, so I didn't want to use the house darts anymore. My choice was Halex.

Billiards Chalk

By Eddie Tobey
Billiards chalk is one of the most important accessories in billiards. Billiards players apply chalk to the tip of the cue stick between every shot. This is done in order to increase the friction coefficient of the cue tip, which, in turn, prevents the slippage between the ball and the cue tip. As billiards chalk forms a good coating to avoid miscues, it offers players a secure feeling when attempting critical shots. Billiards chalk can provide the right friction, spin and grip - factors that contribute to a satisfactory playing experience.
